At Banktastic we are well aware of the economic crisis our nation is in and how it directly affects the banking industry. For 2009 and beyond our goal is to spread our vision that we call the TIE principles. We want you and your institution to use Transparency, Innovation and Education to help the banking industry in this trying time. We’re wanting you to share stories with us of people or companies that are using the TIE principles, and be inspired by other’s efforts to be more transparent, innovative and educational. Leave a comment to let us know what you think about the TIE principles, and help us spread the word throughout the industry.

Great Video I love it!!!

Thanks, Madeline! Now we just want people to pick up these ideals and run with them. Do you have any stories of people that you’ve seen that are already using these principles within our industry?

Thanks Madeline, we are VERY excited to get you all involved in telling your stories. Click the ‘Tell us your TIE story!’ link to tell us more!

And here I thought we were all getting TIE Fighters to blast this economic situation into oblivion….
Silliness aside, I think you guys have hit on some core principles that really do need to be injected into our situations and our daily lives. Transparency, innovation and education are nothing new or out of the ordinary, but actually making a conscious effort to perform each of those things will take some dedication.
I look forward to seeing the stories shared and hope to have a few of my own to contribute over time.

EDUCATION! Love it. Examples of institutions that do the first part of education, “financial literacy”, there is the Wells Fargo sponsored site, Hands on Banking (http://www.handsonbanking.org/en/). My only problem is if you’re going to use education, why not use it under your brand? Why not use it in a way that can generate dialogs? I also hate sites that are fully supported by FLASH but that’s another subject for another time.

This is great! I will definitely help spread the word.
